This article introduces the new Lenovo ThinkSystem SR850 V4 and SR860 V4 servers.
Introduction
Introducing the new four-socket Intel Xeon 6 servers for large memory workloads, the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR850 V4 and SR860 V4. These servers are ideal for SAP HANA and in-memory databases, and for scale-up workloads that can take advantage of four processors and up to 16TB of system memory.
ThinkSystem SR850 V4 Server
The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR850 V4 is a 4-socket large-memory server that is densely packed into a 2U rack design. The server offers technology advances, including Intel Xeon 6700-Series processors, up to 16 TB of 6400 MHz DDR5 memory, and up to 12x PCIe Gen 5 slots for adapters. The server also supports up to 2x DW GPUs including the NVIDIA L40S GPU.
The server supports up to 24x 2.5-inch drive bays (SAS/SATA or AnyBay) or up to 32x E3.S 1T drive bays. All drive bays are hot-swap and all front-accessible.

ThinkSystem SR860 V4 Server
The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR860 V4 is a 4-socket large-memory server in a 4U rack design. The server offers technology advances, including Intel Xeon 6700-Series processors, up to 16 TB of 6400 MHz DDR5 memory, and up to 18x PCIe slots for adapters. The server also supports up to 4x DW GPUs including the NVIDIA L40S GPU.
The server supports up to 48x 2.5-inch drives, either all SAS/SATA, or 24x AnyBay + 24x SAS/SATA. Alternatively, the server supports 24x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA + 32x E3.S 1T NVMe drives. All drive bays are hot-swap and all front-accessible.
