Overview

Achieve an autonomous SAN that maximizes your server and storage investment performance with the Lenovo ThinkSystem DB710S. This Gen 7 storage switch offers the lowest entry cost, delivering 64G performance with 50% lower latency than previous models. Built for high-demand workloads in flash and NVMe environments, the DB710S integrates Brocade® Gen 7 technology for simplified and flexible management. It includes an enterprise-grade software bundle that enables an autonomous SAN capable of self-learning, self-optimizing, and self-healing, reducing the effort needed to manage your data center. With VM Insight, users can monitor performance down to individual VMs, while industry-leading SAN security, reliability, and lifetime warranty provide peace of mind.

Why Fibre Channel?

  • Visibility: Identify congestion points and mitigate problems fast.
  • Security: Mitigate potential security risks and protect your data across the network.
  • Reliability: Keep your data available no matter what, with “uptime all the time”.
  • Performance: Best network for high-speed, lossless, low-latency storage traffic.
  • Scalability: Dynamically add more components and scale without compromise.

Flexible and Scalable

The DB710S is a cost-effective, compact 1U switch with up to 24 Fibre Channel (FC) ports featuring Gen 7 FC technology. Designed for flexibility, it supports "pay-as-you-grow" scalability with Ports on Demand (PoD), allowing you to expand from 8 to 24 ports as needed. Each port can support 32G or 64G SFP+ transceivers, ensuring performance scalability and backward compatibility with 8G and 16G devices. This switch offers strong investment protection, allowing organizations to start small, grow quickly, and meet increasing demands with the latest technology.

Enhanced Security for Mission-Critical Workloads

Brocade Gen 7 technology secures your network, supports nonstop operations, and enhances management automation. The DB710S’s Fibre Channel fabrics are designed for security with controlled access between servers and storage, ensuring data isolation within the data center. Gen 7 adds an extra layer of protection, safeguarding against malware and hijacking by validating the switch's operating system, security configurations, and hardware integrity.
