Abstract

The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR645 V3 has set a new two-processor performance world record on Linux for the SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark.

This document summarizes the SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark result for the ThinkSystem SR645 V3 that was published on July 1, 2023. Introduction

Lenovo has published a new SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark result that has set a new world record. The result has been achieved on the powerful Lenovo ThinkSystem SR645 V3 server using the new AMD EPYC 9754 processor.

The world-record benchmark result is:

  • Best score on a 2-processor, 1U rack system running Linux

Lenovo ThinkSystem SR645 V3The SPECpower_ssj 2008 benchmark is an industry-standard benchmark that evaluates the power and performance characteristics of single servers and multi-node servers.

The ThinkSystem SR645 V3 server achieved the following score :

  • SPECpower_ssj2008 = 31,214 overall ssj_ops/watt

The SR645 V3 was configured as follows:

  • 2x AMD EPYC 9754 ("Bergamo") processors (128 cores, 2.25 GHz, 256 MB L3 cache)
  • 384 GB of DDR5 memory
  • 1x 240GB M.2 SSD
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP4
  • Oracle Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11.0.15.1+2-LTS-10, mixed mode)
