Notes
- There are no CMA mounting brackets preinstalled on the rail. The CMA mounting brackets are contained in the CMA option kit package. Before installing the CMA, you need to install the CMA mounting brackets first. For detailed instructions, refer to the documentation that comes with the CMA option kit.
- If you want to install the rails and a 0U PDU into the same rack, the rack must meet the height and depth requirements. See the sections below for details, Rack cabinets with parallel 0U PDUs and Rack cabinets with perpendicular 0U PDUs.
- For best performance, it is recommended that you install the rails to the racks with a 719-mm distance (28.31-inch, Lenovo rack default distance) between the front and rear mounting flanges.
- The rail length refers to the distance measured when the rail is not extended.
Rack cabinets with parallel 0U PDUs
The table below lists the rail kits that are supported in each rack cabinet when 0U PDUs are installed in an orientation that is parallel to the sidewalls of the cabinet (sockets facing the rear of the rack). The table also lists the horizontal clearances A and B, as shown in the figure.

Notes:
- 1Item A refers to the recommended distance between the front surface of the front mounting flange and the front surface of the parallel 0U PDU.
- 2 Item B refers to the distance between the left (right) side of the CMA and the right (left) side of the parallel 0U PDU.
- 3 The negative distance indicates that the CMA and the parallel 0U PDU have an overlap.
Rack cabinets with perpendicular 0U PDUs
The table below lists the rail kits that are supported in each rack cabinet when 0U PDUs are installed in an orientation that is perpendicular to the sidewalls of the cabinet (sockets facing the center of the rack). The table also lists the horizontal clearances A and B, as shown in the figure.
